Description

A quick and easy stir-fried dish combining savory minced pork and crunchy cabbage, all in one pan!

Ingredients

  • 200g minced pork
  • 1/2 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 red chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: a splash of vinegar for tanginess

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Shred the cabbage and mince the garlic. Slice the red chilies if using.
  2. Cook the Pork: Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced pork and stir-fry until it is browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Add Garlic and Chilies: Add the minced garlic and sliced red chilies to the pan with the pork. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add Cabbage: Add the shredded cabbage to the pan and stir-fry until it is slightly softened and wilted.
  5. Season: Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar to the pan. Stir-fry until the sauce is evenly distributed and the ingredients are well coated.
  6. Optional: Add a splash of vinegar for tanginess and stir well.
  7. Serve: Transfer the stir-fried minced pork and cabbage to a serving plate and serve hot.

Notes

Pairs beautifully with steamed rice or a side salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
