Description

A delightful combo of savory chicken wings roasted with sweet and tangy pineapple, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats (tips discarded)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the wings evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. In a separate bowl, toss the pineapple chunks with brown sugar and cinnamon (if using).
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the marinated chicken wings and pineapple chunks in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Roast for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken wings are cooked through and the pineapple is caramelized and slightly softened, flipping halfway through.
  5. Serve the roasted chicken wings and pineapple immediately. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, pat the wings dry before marinating. Check the internal temperature to ensure chicken is perfectly cooked (165°F).
