Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) or olive oil spray (for baking/air-frying)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and cut into 1-2 inch pieces.

Set Up the Breading Station: In three bowls:

Bowl 1: Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Bowl 2: Whisk eggs with milk.

Bowl 3: Place breadcrumbs or panko.

Bread the Chicken: Coat chicken pieces in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally roll in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Cook the Chicken:

Frying: Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

Baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange on a greased baking sheet, spray with olive oil, and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air-Frying: Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Arrange chicken in a single layer, spray with olive oil, and air-fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway.

Serve: Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

To make it gluten-free, substitute flour and breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives.

For added flavor, mix Parmesan cheese into the breadcrumbs.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
