Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Juice of 1 lemon
4 pita breads
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
1/2 cup cucumber slices
1/2 cup tzatziki or hummus
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Instructions
Marinate the chicken in a mixture of olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Let rest, then slice.
Warm pita breads in a skillet or oven.
Assemble the pitas with tzatziki, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and sliced chicken. Top with feta if desired.
Fold or roll the pitas and enjoy!
