Description

An elegant masterpiece featuring buttery lobster tails in a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for special occasions or a cozy dinner at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (46 oz each), shells split and meat loosened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or seafood stock)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lobster tails by cutting through the top of the shells and gently pulling the meat over the shell.
  2. Season the lobster meat with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat until sizzling.
  4. Sear the lobster tails flesh-side down for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the tails over and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through; remove from the pan and set aside.
  6. Add remaining butter to the skillet, lower the heat, and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
  7. Add the chicken broth and simmer for a minute.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard, cooking until slightly thickened (about 3-4 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Return the lobster tails to the pan, spoon sauce over them, and warm for an extra minute.
  10. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For an extra fancy touch, add a splash of white wine to the sauce. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or a light salad.
